Storytime
We consider ourself fortunate to have Lynette from the Library Outreach programme come and visit us regularly. Sharing books and reading is a vital activity for children's development. Children who experience and enjoy reading books with others develop a positive attitude towards books. This will help them when they learn to read.
Graduation Celebration
To celebrate our children who are going off to school, we have a special Graduation High Tea. This has become a right of passage and now the children eagerly anticipate their own celebration with us before they start at school. Through our rituals, the children develop a sense of empowerment, belonging, excitement and connection.
Our Graduation Ceremonies are lovingly executed, with teachers taking care to prepare and to engage our children in these rituals, we’re showing aroha in a way that words and plastic gifts cannot.
Poipoia te kakano. Kia puawai

Manākitanga

Replanting the garden
It was all hands on deck as we cleared the summer plants and got the garden ready for our winter seedlings. Over the coming weeks, the children will help to nurture the seedling and we hope to be eating these vegetables for kai in a few months time.
